Trading Sites

Since everyone is trying to save money, I put together a review of popular trading sites that I am either a member of or was a member of. All of these sites are absolutely free and are very easy to use. All you would have to pay is the shipping for the items you agree to send.

(1) Makeupalley.com
This site is great for makeup lovers. It is where people who like makeup a lot go to swap makeup. Swapping, means to give someone something in exchange for another object. Although the site is famous for swapping makeup, you could swap other things too. Like books, jewelry, and lots of other things. Makeupalley is very popular on youtube and blogs everywhere. I am currently a member and love swapping there.

(2) Paperbackswap.com
This site is a great place to swap for books. Although you won't be swapping book for book, here you will be swapping for points that can be exchanged to get books from other members. I am currently a member but my account is frozen because I signed up before I was 18. Now that I'm 18, I'm thinking of getting my account back.

(3) Bookmooch.com
I absolutely love this site. This site is only for swapping books. You also swap for points here. Just don't expect to get a book that just came out or that is really popular at the moment. My only disapointment with this site and the reason I am not a member anymore is that you will get a lot of requests at the same time because the points are so easy to get. Listing 10 books will earn you a point. Most people there have hundreds of points, mainly because they have tons of books listed and don't mind requesting loads of books at once.

(4) TitleTrader.com
I also love this site. I haven't been on there in a while but its a great site. Here you can list books, movies, and other things. This is also another point site. One thing I like about this site is that it lists its movies by category (ie, horror, comedy, musical), which makes it easier to find what you want.

So those are my favorite trading sites. Believe me, there are more trading sites out there but I couldn't write about them because these are the only ones I've been a member of. I'll leave you with some cool tips if you are interested in joining one of these sites.

-Always check the forums. People have 2 and 3 for 1 point specials. Meaning that they will give away 2 and 3 books for only one point. Sometime people will give 5 and 6 books for only one point.

-Get to know the member you are swapping with. Its a great place to meet people with the same interests as you.

-Always ask what condition a product is in. Don't assume that it looks new if its not stated in the description.

-If you like more than one item, tell the member and they might send it along with your swap.
